| COIR GEO-TEXTILES |
| Woven Geo-textiles |
The coir yarn spun out of the retted fibre on traditional spinning wheels are woven on hand looms to manufacture Coir Geo - textiles. In general the dimensions of the mattings are of widths 1 to 4 meter with thickness varying from 5 to 10 mm. Any grade and composition of netting can be made to customer specification. |

| Coir Geo-textiles : in gentle cooperation with nature |
Coir-the golden coconut fibre- is a 100 % organic fibre. Coir is a strong cellulose fibre with high lignin content. It is naturally resistant to rot and moulds. No chemical treatment is required hence very cheaper than synthetic geo-textiles. Coir fibre is hard and strong, with good properties for being spun and woven into matting. Coir geo-textiles have unique properties and have the right strength and durability to protect slopes against erosion and help natural vegetation to take root. |

| Controlling soil erosion and conditioning the soil |
Coir geo-textiles have the strength necessary to hold soil in place and prevent erosion. The coir mesh dissipates the force of heavy rains and run of water. Coir also promotes the growth of new vegetation by absorbing water and preventing the topsoil from drying out. |
Coir Log |
Coir geo-textiles resembles natural soil in its capacity to absorb solar radiation. This means that there is no risk of excessive heating-sometimes a problem with synthetic geo-textiles. |
